Mr. Kurt A. Streyffeler has the legal knowledge that we all need. Kurt will be speaking with us about legal areas that involve credit and many other areas that we can all benefit from.

Kurt A. Streyffeler opened his law office in 1991 and is a sole practitioner with an emphasis in general civil and commercial litigation, credit law, bankruptcy, and divorce law.

Mr. Streyffeler was licensed as an attorney by the Florida Bar in 1988. In addition, Kurt is admitted to practice before the Florida Supreme Court, the Florida Second District Court of Appeal, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. Federal Court, Middle District of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeal.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Oral Roberts University and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.

Kurt is a past President of the Lee County Bar Association and served 5 years on the Executive Council. He also served as the chair of the Florida Bar’s 20th Judicial Circuit Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee; Secretary of the State of Florida, District VIII, Managed Care Ombudsman Committee, and as a director or officer on the boards of Lee County Legal Aid Society; Deaf Service Center; Young Professionals (P.O.L.O.) Club of Lee County; Leukemia Society Advisory Council; and the State of Florida Human Rights Advocacy Council.

Kurt also presided as a Child Support Enforcement Hearing Officer for 9 years. Kurt was selected as the 1999 Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award Recipient for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit. Kurt was also a barrister in the Lee County Chapter of Inns of Court and is a member of the Association of Family Law Professionals. Kurt is a member in good standing of the Florida Bar and Lee County Bar Association.
